CAN-ADAPTT is the Canadian Action Network for the Advancement, Dissemination and Adoption of Practice-informed Tobacco Treatment.  It is a Practice-Based Research Network committed to facilitating research and knowledge exchange among practitioners who are in positions to help patients quit smoking (e.g., physicians, pharmacists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare/service providers).  CAN-ADAPTT is closely affiliated with members of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the research and dissemination of information.

Up until recently, there have only been US smoking cessation guidelines.  Over the last couple of years, CAN-ADAPTT has formed working groups made up of members from all the relevant health care professions and have developed a few Canadian-based summary statements.  They have recently launched the release of a few guideline sections which are provided below with their links.  This is an excellent resource for us to utilize and share with our colleagues.   They also provide a discussion board to their members similar to this one!  I would highly recommend checking it out.
