The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), whose mandate is to provide decision-makers with evidence, analysis, advice and recommendations so that they may make informed decisions in health care, has released a Rapid Response Report outlining the safety data for electronic cigarettes.  The report concludes that while the evidence and safety data regarding electronic cigarettes is limited, it does suggest that this may be a safe and effective means of smoking cessation.  While it appears that more research needs to be done, this looks like good news for those who swear by the smoking cessation product.
