A small but interesting report from Britain is claiming that over 1,000 individuals quit smoking last year, a new record for the country.  Such figures have resulted from collaboration between smoking cessation support groups, physicians and the National Health Service (NHS), the publicly-funded health system in the UK.  While the article makes no mention of pharmacists, such a success story is hopefully inspiring to Canadian pharmacists and health providers.  This is true especially in light of all the changes which have occurred, particularly in Ontario.
